Have you ever been in a job where you really struggle to stay motivated, or maybe even started a business and after a few months lost your drive and desire to keep going?
I have and I'm sure many others have also experienced this dilemma.
Many years ago I got involved in Amway, a multi level marketing business which has provided really good income streams for many thousands of people around the world since it was formed back in the mid 70s from memory. My late wife and I got into this business on two occasions but after only achieving mediocre results we gave up and carried on with our full time jobs. I don't believe we got into that business for the right reasons and certainly didn't take the time to work out whether the business fitted with our core values.
Recently a good friend of mine from Perth signed up with Unicity, a health supplement company which works in a similar fashion to how Amway worked. At the time of starting his new business, my friend was very overweight, had recently been diagnosed as being diabetic and was starting to lose his eyesight. He was only 47 years of age.
To cut a long story short, Quentin started using the Unicity products and immediately saw and felt the benefits. He lost weight and after 3 months was told that he was no longer diabetic and his vision had returned to normal. He was sold on the products and the business and has since grown that business massively over the last 9 or 10 months.
I believe Quentin has been so successful with this business because it aligned with some of his core values, one being good health in order to enjoy more years with his family and another being to help others. My next post will expand on this principle and talk more about why values are so important.
I also hope to interview Quentin in the future and provide a more in-depth story of how he has built this business. This will be found on the Contributors page.
